Bear Creek meanders through Dedisse Ranch just west of Evergreen. French pioneers Jerome and Mary Dedisse settled in this valley. Hay meadows and ranch buildings can be seen in the distance in this photo. Denver acquired the property from the Dedisse heirs in 1919.
